Borussia is the protectress or goddess of fortune of the northern Germans, the Prussians (and that was before the Prussians and the Bavarians came together to form one Germany many years back) … Today this word is annexed to some sport teams like Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach, very famous football teams in Germany.Read More
It was the most authentic German cuisine I might have tasted. I’ve ordered the Nuremberger Bratwurst, it was delicious, & the mashed potato was one of the best I’ve ever tried. But i have to mention their butter, they won’t tell us the brand or where it came from, but it was delicious, i mixed it with the bread & mashed potato. To sum it all, it was a great dining experience. I would love to go back to their quiet, peaceful restaurant.
The place is cozy and breezy and away from the noise of the main highway. You navigate a small gravel road until you reach their parking lot and see lots of foliage and small guest houses along the way. First up, their freshly baked bread is probably the best I've ever had! I suggest you even bring more to take home! The bread alone was worth the trip! Their main dishes were also good! Over-all a great home-y experience.
We stopped into Borussia as it was highly recommended by other friends and family. We were a large group - 17 of us - and it didn't faze them at all. The food started coming out as soon as it was prepared. The family had a variety of dishes, fried chicken, fried duck, pasta dishes, sausages with sauerkraut, and goulash. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. One even commented that for all the different fried chicken she had during this trip (and there was quite a lot!), this was hands-down, the best.
